We got in two days before the cruise so that we could poke around Portland. The accessible public transportation made getting around easy. The city was gorgeous since we arrived at the peak for the rhododendrons. Eventually, an unexpected bout of extremely hot weather caused us to retreat to our hotel until it was time to board the boat.
