Hiking

All of our hikes involved wet landings. We put on our waterproof Tevas, got in a Zodiac for a trip to an island, hopped off into the water, and waded to the beach. There we put on our sneakers. Some wet landings were tougher than others. In one case, we had to shuffle in the water so that any rays would be alerted to get out of our way instead of attacking us.

These pictures were taken at Caleta San Juanico on the eastern shore of the Baja peninsula , on the Isla Danzante, and at Ensenada Grande, an inlet on the western shore of Isla Partida.
