Agrigento wasn’t on the itinerary. But our route of travel to Catania took us right past it. To not have stopped would have been a sin against tourists. While not nearly as extensive as some of the other ruins, Agrigento gives you a sense of time and place, much like the Roman forum or the ruins at Pompeii.
